  • Regaine For Men Extra Strength is for men with a family history of hair loss who have a general thinning of hair at the top of the scalp (vertex). Regaine For Men Extra Strength is more likely to re-grow hair in men with the range of hair loss shown in the Patient Information Leaflet which is available below.
  • If you have more hair loss than shown there, Regaine For Men Extra Strength may not work.
  • Pack contains one pump spray applicator, one extended spray-tip applicator and one rub-on applicator. See the Patient Information Leaflet to determine the applicator which suits you best.

The solution is also available in 6 month and 12 month supplies.

How to use

Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully before use.

Directions:

For detailed directions for use see leaflet enclosed in pack, or Patient Information Leaflet (available below).

See illustrations in the Patient Information Leaflet (available below) to decide if this product is suitable for your type of hair loss.

  • Your hair and scalp should be thoroughly dry before using Regaine For Men Extra Strength
  • Apply a dose of 1ml, with one of the enclosed applicators, to the affected area twice daily (with a 12-hour interval in between)
  • Do not exceed the recommended dose
  • For topical use on the scalp only. Wash hands after use
  • Continuous use is necessary to improve and at least maintain your hair-regrowth
  • It takes time to re-grow hair. In clinical trials 3 out of 5 men reported hair re-growth after 48 weeks. Hair re-growth may become noticeable after 2 months
  • Regaine For Men Extra Strength will not work for everyone.

Hazards and Cautions

Do not use if you:

    • Suffer from a problem with blood pressure
    • Don’t know why you’re losing your hair – see your doctor
    • Have sudden or patchy hair loss
    • Have other conditions associated with your hair loss
    • Have a red, inflamed, irritated, infected or painful scalp, or a shaven head
    • Are using other medicines on your scalp
    • Are under 18 or over 65 years of age
    • Are a woman

Storage

    • Store below 25ºC
    • Keep container tightly closed

Precautions

  • Seek advice from your doctor if you have heart disease (including abnormal heart rhythms or rates, angina or chest pains) and/or circulation disorders before using this product
  • For external use only
  • Avoid contact with the eyes
  • This is a medicine; Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist
  • Seek advice before using if you are breast feeding, pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or suffer from allergies
  • Keep all medicines out of the reach of children
  • This solution is flammable. Do not use while smoking, or near any naked flames or strong heat source. Avoid exposure of the container and contents to naked flames during use, storage and disposal
  • Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Active ingredients

Minoxidil 5% solution – 1 ml of Regaine contains 50mg of the active ingredient Minoxidil.

Other ingredients: Ethanol (alcohol), Propylene glycol, Water.

    For oral administration and short-term use only.

    Adults, the elderly and children aged 12 years and over: Swallow 2 tablets with water every 8 hours. Do not chew the tablets. Leave at least 4 hours between doses. Do not take more than 6 tablets in any 24 hours.

    Do not give to children under 12 years of age.

    If symptoms persist or worsen, if new symptoms occur, or if the product is required for more than 10 days, consult your doctor.

    Hazards and Cautions

    Do not take more medicine than the label tells you to.

    Do not take if you:

      • Have ever had a stomach ulcer, perforation or bleeding
      • Are allergic to ibuprofen (or anything else in this medicine), aspirin or other related painkillers
      • Are taking other NSAID painkillers, or aspirin with a daily dose above 75mg
      • Are in the last 3 months of pregnancy
      • Have an overactive thyroid
      • Are taking or have taken MAOI’s (antidepressants) within 14 days.

    Speak to a pharmacist/doctor before taking if you:

      • Have asthma, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, had a stroke, liver, heart, kidney or bowel problems
      • Are a smoker
      • Are pregnant
      • Are being prescribed other medicines

    Keep all medicines out of the reach and sight of children.
